 The setup program freezes. What should I do?
Solution For unusual, complex reasons, the MidiNotate/Notation Musician or MidiNotate/Notation Composer setup program, for either the trial or purchased version of the software, might freeze during its execution. That is, it will not complete, or might not show signs of starting.

If this happens, please restart Windows. Then, before you run any other programs, try running the setup program again from the directory into which you downloaded it. The name of the setup program will start with "MidiNotate" or "Notation" and end in "Setup.exe", as in "NotationComposer201TrialSetup.exe".

If the setup hangs after after the program telling you to "Click the "Install" button to begin installation", then it is very likely that this is due to a firewall on your system. To work around this, temporarily turn off the firewall, install Notation, then turn back on the firewall.

If you encounter other problems running the Notation setup program, use the Knowledgebase Search option to find topics on the subject of "setup".
