Wake Up Little Susie Duet (Everly Brothers)
1 Attachment(s)
"Wake Up Little Susie" was written by Boudleaux & Felice Bryant in 1957, and was made popular by the Everly Brothers, a pop recording guitar band in the late '50s.
I can't really claim this as my arrangement as it is more of a transcription. The Everlys mostly sang in thirds, with the harmony a third above the melody. In most of this piece, the harmony line is one sixth below the melody. The lyrics present a cute story - a young boy and girl apparently drove to a Drive-In movie, and the movie was so bad, they fell asleep - for quite a long time! If you would like to see the lyrics or the chords, you can use Composer commands to display them: for lyrics use qsl; for chords use qscn. Ralph R. Rayner |
