Difference between conductors and single part

While loading a MIDI File comes the information that it will be transposed automatically 1 Octave higher. ok. It looks correct in the conductors score. But when I display only the melody part (M#4) it is one octave deeper!?

You can select for each Part whether you want to view it in Concert Pitch or Instrument Transposed Pitch. The assumption by Composer is that if you are viewing the single instrument part, that you probably want to work on it, which isn't necessarily the best assumption. However, it is easily adjusted by using the Format menu, and selecting which way you want to view it (the last two commands in the menu list for Format).
