Selecting One or More Objects Before Editing Them

A score object must be selected before it can be edited or deleted. You can simultaneously select and edit multiple objects of the same type.

prcarrow To select an object:

1.Place the mouse over the object - it will turn red to show it is selectable, and click the left mouse button. It will then turn blue to show that it has been selected and is ready to be edited.

prcarrow To select multiple objects of the same type.

1.Click on an object, hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse over the score. Composer will select objects of the same type during the drag. For example, if you start the mouse drag at a note, then only more notes will be selected, not other types of objects such as lyrics.
2.To select an additional object of the same type, hold down the SHIFT key and click the object.
3.To add several more objects to the list of already selected objects, hold down the SHIFT key and drag the mouse over the additional objects.
4.To remove some objects from the list of selected objects, hold down the SHIFT key and click them individually, or drag the mouse over them.
