Creating a New Configuration

prcarrowTo create an entirely new configuration:

1.Choose the MIDI Device Configuration command from the Setup menu.

Type or "qdc" for Quick Device Configuration.

2.In the MIDI Device Configuration Window, choose the New command from the Config menu.
3.Enter the name of the new configuration in the dialog box that Musician presents to you.

The new configuration will initially include no ports or devices. Usually it is more convenient to create a new configuration by cloning an existing configuration or using the "Config/Initialize" command to detect all currently connected devices.
