Overtura di Telemaco, Opera di Alessandro Scarlatti

Telemaco, ossia L'isola di Circe is a 1718 opera by Alessandro Scarlatti to a libretto by Carlo Sigismondo Capece (sometimes spelled "Capeci"), court poet to Queen Maria Casimira of Poland, living in exile in Rome, for the Teatro Capranica in Rome, where it was premiered during the carnival season.

Thanks for sharing; enjoyed seeing the score roll by and the different time signatures. Nice listening.

Here is a link to a synthesized audio production of the MIDI file of this Notation Composer file:

Hi Walt,

Thanks for sharing!

What synth or library were you using to produce the audio file?

Just curious since Composer now has audio export using soundfonts.

Sherry

Hi Sherry,

Been a while.

My initial thought was to post a link to the "Synthesized/MIDI" tab in the IMSLP site -- had that worked, you would have seen:
Sinfonia da Telemaco ln C maj - Presto - Vivace - Moderato - Allegro, by Alessandro Scarlatti, 1718. Transcriiption to MIDI and audio production by Walter J Peterson from document, IMSLP478549-PMLP596772-Telemaco_Overture.pdf, edited by Josiah Hohulin (Copyright: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-Sharealike 4.0), found at the International Music Score Library Project. Produced with Notation Composer and Logic Pro 9 using Garritan Personal Orchestra 4 sound library.
As it turns out, the link that I got to work is directly to their copy of my mp3 file.

I think the version of NC that I have is 3.0.5 (?) and did not know of the audio export capability. I do my transcribing on an XP machine, so am reluctant to update.

Thanks for asking.

Walt

Sherry,

Turns out I have NC v 3.0.6. I've been heads down transcribing and producing per my established routine and never noticed the new features (other than export to pdf) when I upgraded. I have it on my Windows 10 box and on my XP -- I don't have NC on my Mac, just Logic Pro 9.

Just tried the export to wave -- nice.

Thanks

Walt
