Re: Buttons on different staffs

You can also "solo" multiple staves by clicking on the Solo buttons for each staff you want to hear.

(Hmm. If you solo two staves, are you actually "duetting" them?) ;)

Good luck.

Re: Opera with notation composer! Really!

Bravo, Tim!

Very impressive accomplishment!

I'd love to see a few pages from your score, just to see how you use Composer to handle the task.

Congratulations.

Re: Exodus Duet

Always loved that music.

And beautiful Jill Hayworth gets killed at the end -- of the movie, not your music!

Thanks for reminding me of it.

Re: karaoke file with music notation not lyrics possible?

Hello, ezjazz:

I don't do karaoke myself, but I think you're asking if the notation can be displayed as it plays back?

Yes, that's exactly what Notation Software products do.

They don't...

Re: Instrument Definition files

Hi, Jerry:

I had a quick look at the .ins file you uploaded.

While it loads and imports into Composer, I suspect there are weird things happening in it.

For instance, the GM Bank shows a...

Re: More formatting woes

Hi,

The idea behind the page layout mechanism was to have Composer lay things out the way it thinks they best fit the page, then allow the user to move things as they wish to satisfy their need.

Re: Instrument Definition files

Hi, Jerry, Sherry:

Jerry, if you can post one of the files you are trying to work with, I'll have a look at it. I have a couple of Casio keyboards (not likely the exact same, though). I've had...

Re: Harlem Nocturne Septet

Nice!

The Clavinova rendition is so close to real that I would have sworn it was played by a full band.

A/B-ing it with the .not file, played through my Yamaha XG machine, the Tenor Sax seems...

Re: different instruments?

Hi, Krevez:

What version of Finale did you have?

Finale Notepad, as I understand, has a built-in General Midi synthesizer as its default device. I'm afraid you can't use Finale's built-in synth...

Hi, Blane:

I can't find any problem with metronome volume in what you posted, but it did contain only one staff. Was that intended?

You should be able to enlarge any kind of text simply by clicking on the larger "A" icon in the text tool bar (or type Ctrl+NumberPad"+").

Good luck.
