Herbert

Thanks for the terminology. I'm relieved that I'm not the only person who finds this a problem. One of my main activities is preparing choral scores for use as practice files by our 40...

Re: Cannot set First Measure Number to zero

Sherry

Thanks very much for the rapid reply. So just to clarify, for my limited purposes I should be able to adopt the following approach -

1. create the file in Notation 3 as usual

2. copy...

Cannot set First Measure Number to zero

In Notation Composer 2.6 I could set the First Measure Number to Zero - but in Notation Composer 3 the First Measure Number has to be greater than Zero.

This is a pain becuase in some of the...

Page layout does not adjust to font size change

As I have some singers with poor eyesight I often have to produce a second version of a song with the lyrics at a larger font size, whilst also hiding the chords and accompaniment, i.e. just melody...

Re: Lyrics for multiple verses fails in 3.0.1

David and Sherry

Thanks for your replies. I am grateful for your advice on a workaround, though reluctant to change what I have got used to! I would have to research how to deal with the...

Re: Lyrics for multiple verses fails in 3.0.1

I need to make a decision very soon as to whether to back out Composer 3.0.1 as the problem I currently have with entering lyrics makes it unacceptable for my type of use. So I would be grateful for...

Re: Stuck notes

David

Many thanks. As a retired IT person I'm always much happier when someone can explain what is happening even if it doesn't solve the problem. At least there is a logical explanation as to...

Re: Stuck notes

Sherry
Thanks for the rapid reply. I have to admit I don't yet understand the Piano Roll and the note duration possibilities.
However, I have been able to narrow down the problem and it all seems...

Stuck notes

I have a real problem with the piece attached. It is an SATB choir piece which I imported as a MIDI file from another choir: I have used a lot of their material before and never had any problems.
I...

Re: Software amplification for choir practice files

Oh the repetoire is only about 100 pieces, but as I produce emphasised files for each SATB voice that means a minimum of 5 versions of each piece and then some arrangements have two Soprano lines, or...

Re: Software amplification for choir practice files

Thank you for your rapid advice. As you surmise, most of my choir do use just the basic Windows built-in synth.
I had thought of increasing the note velocity: I do normalise it to a...

Re: Operating Systems

I quite appreciate that offering the products on other platforms is likely to be much more than a port and in the cases of Macs and iPads would be a major undertaking. So I guess the next...

I guess this is a big one for the new team to assess but I would be interested to know if there are any thoughts for extending the operating systems under which Notation might run. I have an...
