import from keyboard
I know there are music notation programes that will read a midi file directly from your keyboard, making it very easy to turn off chanels leaving just the part (Chanel) you want transcribed. I would love to see this in future upgrades of Composer!

Not quite the same steps, but you can open such files in Notation Composer and simply delete the staff/staves you don't want for your final sheet music. Enjoy Sherry
