Hi, jss:

There is a quiet little icon to the left end of the ornamentations toolbar that will turn a note followed by an equal rest into a staccato note.

For instance, an eighth note, followed by an eighth rest, will be turned into a dotted quarter note. Very useful for long staccato passages, as you can select the whole passage and click the icon (or type R+period (r-dot)) to do the whole section at once.

As well as adding the ornaments manually.

Good luck.

Smile Re: staccato dots

Thanks,
That's a neat gem turning the note+rest into staccato.
